HMT Metabolomics Solution Package includes experimental reagents, the protocol for sample preparation, specialized training courses, customer support and analysis software, which developed to meet the challenge of discovering biomarkers, advancing fermentation processes, and improving plants.


HMT and Agilent Technologies has entered into collaborative research and development agreement of metabolome analysis solution. This product can only be used with
Agilent Technologies’ capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry (CE-(Q-)TOF MS)

The best combination- CE and MS

HMT Metabolomics Solution Package is designed to be used in combination with Agilent CE-(Q-)TOF MS. Analysis methods provided in the package get great performance out of CE-(Q-)TOF MS and enable global quantification of ionic compounds. Our method does not require column switching, enabling you to analyze cationic/anionic/nucleotide compounds in only two assays (modes).

High-quality “Metabolomics Kit” - prepared experimental reagents

We provide “Metabolomics Kit” only for purchasers of Solution Package. Metabolomics Kit is a set of prepared reagents, checker samples and capillary columns, which are all optimized for our protocol and Agilent CE-(Q-)TOF MS.

Workflow solution from pretreatment

Pretreatment protocol of samples based on our extensive metabolomics expertise is also included. The protocol is applicable to bacteria, plants, tissues, blood (serum/plasma), urine and cultured cells.

New to CE-MS ? - specialized training courses

Metabolomics Solution Package includes two-day training course of metabolome analysis using tuned CE-(Q-)TOF MS. This course includes CE-MS operations, sample handling and data interpretation. The training course specialized for metabolomics is not included in a standard training of Agilent CE-(Q-)TOF MS.

Ready for precious sample from day one

Our support engineer totally tunes CE and MS. After check-out, you have CE-MS tuned to fit metabolome analysis perfectly. You can begin obtaining data of your proprietary sample right from the first day.

Total customer support

Solution Package carries one year warranty from the due date.　Our engineer will provide support (telephone/email/on-site) when need arises (only travel cost should be
paied for on-site). HMT will cooperate with Agilent Technologies to provide total support for your metabolomics research.

Compound identification - analysis software and a huge library

We provide library information (m/z and migration time) of over 400 compounds, which covers major metabolic pathways. Specialized software for Solution Package, “HMT-KEIO MasterHands” is also supplied. MasterHands features multipoint time-normalization and peak filtering, which are critical steps in CE-MS. Combination of MasterHands and MassHunter* allows comprehensive compound identification and delivers highly-enriched metabolite information.
